Just read the harry potter books and everthing will b good
just kidding :) y'all should read the giver, night, a child called it, two princesses of Bamarre, blue is for nightmares, white is for magic. i can go on forever but i think i will leave it at that for today :)
Folake 06-02-04 5:07 PM
what happened to lani garver? is an amazing book
Ben 06-02-04 8:40 PM
The Giver is another great one. So is Ender's Game, because it deals with children and how the adults are manipulating them. There's a lot of subliminal messages about greater society in both books. Peace Out.

She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb

I had to read that as a summer reading assignment for my English class. It was sad, funny, and really heartwarming. I highly recommend it.

every teen should read the book Doing It. it gives an insight into the teenage male mind on how they feel about sex...and it's really good for a laugh. also...the book A Time to Die...part of The One Last Wish series...that's a really good book also
Lesley profile 02-09-05 5:51 PM
Hmm... I have read almost -none- of these books. And I'm a fairly big reader. I read the 'Dark Materials' trilogy about 5 years ago, I think I read one of the Anne of Green Gables books but I can't remember. It obviously didn't make a big impression on me. I've read the first Harry Potter book and was very over it by about half way through. The Barry Trotter books, on the other hand, are great! I :) parodies...
And I've seen the movie for "To Kill a Mockingbird". Oh, and I've skimmed through "Lord of the Flies". So I count that as -reading- it.

I think all teens (humans) should read "Wendel, His Cat and the Progress of Man". It's simple. It's a picture book. Yet it is unforgettable. You can find the whole thing on the internet somewhere.... google it.
I'm tellin ya, - UNFORGETTABLE!!! Meaning it actually is incredibly good, meaningful and easy to remember. I'm ordering you to find it and read it...
I will not go find -your- books but you have not told me they are picture books that will change your life.
Hannah profile 02-14-05 10:49 PM
OMG!!! I just read "Doing It" and that book is freakin hilarious!! Usually teen books don't really get that honest, but this is one is good.
Danica profile 04-11-05 9:11 PM
Pride and Prejudice is great as well as Hawksong by Amelia Atwater Rhodes
*¤* kAtiE *¤* profile 04-14-05 7:46 PM
Some great books are:

-The Giver
-To Kill a Mockingbird
-The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
-A Bend in the Road
-Message in a Bottle
-A Walk to Remember (way better than the movie!!)
-All-American Girl
-Harry Potter series
-Madison Finn Series
-anything by Judy Blume
Dane 07-05-05 10:32 PM
I think everyone should read the book Wicked by Gregory Maguire. It discusses being yourself and helps to show the real difference between good and evil. The story is about the witches of Oz before Dorothy came. It shines a new light on a more compassionate Witch of the west. It has recently been transformed into a smash Broadway musical, also worth checking out.
Ann 07-28-05 12:14 PM
Pride and Prejudice and Anna Karenina are great.
Ashley profile 12-08-05 10:24 AM
I agree with Jennifer "shes come udone" and another good one by wally lamb is "I know this much is true" its bigger than shes come undone in length but well worth the read.

i have read all the pendragon books that are out now, also a good australian series is the tomorrow series... the author is the best selling author i australia ever... and all of matthew rielly books as well, another good australian author, but his books aint based on australia
Kelly 12-24-06 12:00 AM

Practically Invisible by Kevin McDonald. This guy really gets it for an old guy. Well, I don't know how old he is but his picture makes him look old. I was really amazed by how much he understands and how he was so direct about the issues that teen runnaways and kids who are abused. It's not for teenies though, more for young adults. I cried my eyes out at times and laughed until my stomach hurt at other times. If you are ver think of running away, you should read this first. It might help to change your mind.

Why must people force their own pesonal taste in reading upon others?
Gabriel 04-15-07 10:42 PM
The Bible is the only book you ever need to read in life. All other books are superfluous and will turn you away from the path of God! Praise Jesus!
