Fell Flat on My Face --- Literally
So, this happened in the 7th grade. It was my first year on the track team and I was super nervous because all the 8th graders on the team were around 5"10 and some even going into to 6", while I was 4"11. Most of the 8t graders didn't pay attention to me. Lucky for me, I was friends with 2 other people. One, a girl who never showed up for practice, and a a boy named Kevin who was shorter than me.

Anyway, I was at a track meet and we were running short (pun right there) on runners. So me, being the kind person I am, offered to do teh 400 (one lap).

I had never done the 400 before so I was nervous.

In the last track meet, Evan had fell over a hurdle, scraping his knee. He still came in first but I teased him a lot about that.

Sometimes I hate karma.

So I'm running the 400, and I have 50m to go, and I'm in first, if I managed to keep running at the same pace, I would win for the first time ever.

I'm running, when my legs collaspe. I start feeling dizzy and I struggle to get up. Two girls pass me. I start running again when I fall. This happens a couple more times when I finally finish the race.

Everyone comes rushing at me and my guy coach reaches out to give me a hug. Or so I thought. He was actually coming over to pat my shoulder when I hugged him.

Luckily, most of my teammates didn't give me crap about it, including Evan.

But I noticed some of the 8th graders were kinda pissed.

So, to this day, I still have scars on my knees to prove this. And my forehead was bleeding.
