Tight Skirts

I was in fifth grade and we were doing an immigration process re-enactment in our school cafeteria. I really wanted to look as authentic as possible so I put on a silk bandana and a khaki skirt I found in the back of my closet. The last time I had worn the skirt was in 3rd grade, but it still fitted, so even though it was kinda tight I went to school with it.

Everything was going great, we were walking around the cafeteria waiting in lines at different stations. I was waiting in line at one of the stations when the line moved. I started moving forward but almost tripped because something was around my legs. I looked down and saw my khaki skirt in a pile around my ankles. For a while I just stood there kinda confused but then I guess my senses finally came back cause I bent over and pulled my skirt back up, but when I tried to zip it up I realized that the zipper had been pulled out of place.

I sort of just stood there for a while until I finally looked up to see a group of teachers speed walking towards me. I was suddenly surrounded by a group of teachers and the principal pulled out a safety pin and pinned my skirt back into place. I'm not sure how many kids saw me standing there skirtless but I was in a line so I'm pretty sure everyone behind me saw and when I asked some kids in my class about it the day after they sort of just nodded. Now when I think about it I laugh, but it was still reallly embarassing at the moment.
