It was one of those times you feel a sense of loss, even though you didn't have something in the first place. I guess that's what disappointment is; a sense of loss for something you never had.

I'll remember the laughter as we go our separate ways, but there's so much learning and we cannot be afraid. There's a world outside our door and nothing in our way, but if it's not what we're both looking for, we'll meet again someday.

I sit and laugh with friends at what we've all been through, but I still catch my breath when someone mentions you. We move on, put those dreams away, hoping that we'll find them on some rainy day. How could I know that everything would change? Except the way I miss you.'
