"Silence So Loud"
I sit alone
In an empty room.
No one to talk to.
Nothing to do.
I laugh.
I talk
to a person named "ME".
I feel so lonely.
But the silence is sweet.
A drop of water
a booming pierce
drips from the faucet
so loud, so fierce.
The raging sound
of a drop to the sink
slowly damaging
my ability to think.
The ticking clock
as the hand moves round.
TICK, TICK, TICK!!!!!
Such an annoying sound.
Second by second
as time roles by.
An entire minute passes.
and I let out a s i g h.
I’m all alone.
Yet I feel I'm in a crowd.
Who ever knew
silence could be so loud?
