Young actress, Jewel Spires, is hiking Yellowstone with her advanced Jujitsu class, just thinking to herself. She is thinking about the time when she decided to become a famous actress to make a difference, be a good role model, help charities, and send a message to the world. Now seeing as this goal will not be happening she decides to start looking for another way to help people. But this thought bubble burst upon realizing that she will be late for her most recent acting job, starring in the Cheer Laundry Detergent commercials. So she rushes off to the studio. Unfortunately, she gets to the studio late and immediately has to start the clothes-washing scene. Therefore, she starts dressing up into cosmetics that make her look old, a small fat suit, and a laundress outfit to play the part of an old laundress that goes around washing clothes. When the scene starts filming, Jewel accidentally spills the detergent onto her costume. Perhaps if she had read the acting contract she had signed she would know that she was testing the product and to be a little more careful. But, she had not and the chemical reaction of an almost impossible compound of elements and a rare bacterium from Mars that is on Yellowstone is on her skin. The reaction is slowly starting to soak into her skin turning Jewel Spires, average girl, into a not-so-average, cape wearing superhero with the power to do amazing things with clothes and stains among other things using her mind and body.

Later that day, at her college dorm, Jewel was putting her clothes into the laundry machine in the dorm laundry room when suddenly she realizes her dinner is burning so she runs into her dorm room to turn off the stove. While she is walking back down the hall to attend to her laundry she sees someone running away with her clothes and laundry money. In an instant she realized it was time to put her Jujitsu skills to the test. But, she soon recognizes that the man was too quick for her. In that instant, she suddenly wishes the clothes would just float out of his hands. As her head starts tingling for the second time that day, Jewel starts an attempt to get in front of the robber by front handspring among other gymnastic tricks. As she starts her front handspring she loses her balance forcing one hand forward and up in a certain hand sign. Upon catching her balance she realizes the robber had already stopped and was staring at something. Jewel's first thought was "either this guy needs a couple lessons in robbing or he has the worst case of ADD ever". Then she looks up at a floating pile of laundry. Looking around for some ghost or superhero sudden comprehension dawns on her forcing her to recognize the fact that she did it herself. Suddenly she hears a loud 'bam' echo through the hallway as the robber fainted and fell on the floor. Jewel turned the robber over and saw it was Trevor Haze. Jewel was not surprised, because she has a couple classes with him and overheard these guys blackmailing Trevor, now she knows what they were blackmailing him to do. She is not upset with him because she knows he would have returned the clothes. Before taking Trevor inside Jewel looked both ways before testing her powers. She let the laundry drop, after several tries she manages to shape it into a bench with bars on the sides and lifts it into the air with Trevor on it. As she was walking down the hall with Trevor and the pile of laundry floating not far behind her she could not help thinking of the good she could do with her powers whatever they were. While she nursed him to consciousness she was thinking for the second time that day about why she decided to be a famous actress. Talk about instant gratification, she all ready found out in one day how she is going to help people by becoming a superhero. Her costume will be her commercial costume with a cape and a mask as for the flagpole it would be her Jujitsu staff at least until she was able to get something better. Then she made a promise to herself using her motto from the commercial. She promised herself out loud that she would always try to "fight for the bright". From then on she would be a superhero with a secret identity she would be known as Cheer Girl.
