COMIC BOOKS ARE NOT RETARDED
Comic books are read for entertainment. It's that simple.
Yes, I admit I read the "childish crap" (hey! it's not) that is displayed in the bookstores. It's the only positive thing we have left, since any and all paraphernalia in the stores have words that are too big and too scary nowadays.
Comic books contain values and morals we have forgotten. They teach us lessons, such as to do good. To not trust strangers, to respect your parents, to not eat too much chocolate, to not do drugs, to support causes that are struggling to find cures for cancer.
They take you to worlds that show you that everyone is good. And I don't see why they are called "retarded" when in fact, they're not. They never were, and they never will be retarded.
They help you realize that the world can still be rebuilt to its original splendor, and I say that without the punch lines, without the color, but with a whole lot of heart and soul that the comics still have.
Do we still have that heart and soul?
I hope so...
