Eh.. Your brain less. Did you know that almost all of the cartoons that excist are based on comic books? X-man Spiderman SUPERMAN all anime Charlie Brown basicly the best shows and the classic shows are made from comic books If you have time later why dont you go to the book store and pick up some comics maybe you will actually like them like so many people do. If you dont like the ones you pick out then pick out another one Most comic books basicly tell an amazing adventure the author doesnt want to write a novel its not there style! And Dude what your thinking about is COMIC STRIPS not comic books And they are not retarded miss priss they are what they are, a form of art no matter what you think! :P I

it's called entertainment. ooh, here's an idea, why don't we all sit around and read the paper and watch the news, and only get involved in things that teach us something. It's good to do that and all, but we would be insane if we didn't have anysort of release. Why don't u go huddle in a corner somewhere and think of how boring your life is.

Comics mean more to people than just Superhero's with big bulking muscle. They reflect an idealized view of what a human should be. It shows people with good morals who act on them to do good. Just walking down the street you can see that this is a fantasy and if your purse is snatched chancee are that no one will stop the villian. It's a way, for many people, to expresse along with other people that they want the world to be a certain way. If your friend wants to look like a superhero you should look at it as more than he wants to looks like a cartoon but as he wants to be seen as a decent human being who will do the right thing. You should view it as a good thing.
